At Darasalaam Bank, we prioritize your autonomy over your personal data. In full compliance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store developer policies, as well as applicable banking data regulations, we provide our users with a transparent and direct mechanism to delete their mobile application profile and associated personal data.
Important Notice: Deleting your mobile banking profile revokes your digital access credentials from the mobile app. However, if you hold an active banking relationship with cash balances, loans, or active debit cards, your statutory bank account remains governed by your legal customer agreement. To close a legal bank account entirely, any outstanding dues must be settled at a DSB branch.
You can execute permanent deletion of your mobile app profile directly from your smartphone at any time by following these two simple steps:
Open the Darasalaam Bank Mobile App and log in. Navigate to the Settings screen to access your security and profile preferences.
Choose the Delete Account option, review the warning terms, and authenticate with your security credentials to confirm. Your mobile app profile and digital tokens will be revoked immediately.
If you cannot access your mobile application or prefer our support team to process the request manually, you may contact our Customer Support Department through any of the following verified channels:
"Mobile App Account Deletion Request - [Your Full
Name]". Please include your registered mobile phone number.
To provide full transparency, the table below outlines how your data is handled upon submitting an account deletion request:
| Data Category | Action Taken | Legal & Regulatory Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| App Login Credentials & Tokens | Deleted Immediately | Your passwords, biometrics cache, authentication tokens, and active login sessions are permanently expunged. |
| Device Telemetry & Push Tokens | Deleted Immediately | Device identifiers, advertising IDs, and push notification tokens are decoupled and deleted from our notification relays. |
| Historical Financial Transactions | Retained by Law | Under Central Bank of Somaliland regulations and Anti-Money Laundering (AML/CFT) legislation, financial institutions are legally mandated to retain financial transaction audit trails for a statutory retention period. |
| KYC & Regulatory Identity Files | Archived for Legal Compliance | Customer identification documents and KYC verification records are archived in secure, restricted vaults accessible solely for regulatory and auditing compliance. |
